Jonathon Hunyor
Jonathon has been playing the trumpet for longer than his neighbours in locations across australia would care to remember. Between 1993 and 1996 he fronted sydney jazz/groove band "Freeload" with sunday afternoon residencies at the Hopetoun Hotel, as well as playing regularly with jazz acts "What's next" and "Let's get lost" and sitting in with the likes of "Trout fishing in Quebec". In 1996 he was one of the original members of "Slewfoot".
In '97 he trucked up to Darwin where he was a regular on the music scene, fronting 8-piece salsa band "Sabrosa" (resident at the top end hotel for over two years), playing Darwin casino's "Sunset Jazz" for two years with bands "Capricornia" and "Jazz in Space" as well as playing regular spots with "Lulu" and "The Velvet Lounge" and gigs with Arnhem land's "Letterstick band".
In 2002 he returned to Sydney where he began performing with big band "DR. V's Swing Thing", jazz quartet "The Coalition of the swinging", and is an integral member and writer with his band the "Slewfoot" funketeers.
